Using Our Proofing Site

We post photo proofs on the internet as a convenience to our customers who may not have had time at the event to stop by our trailer or for absentee friends/owners who would like to see pictures after the event. We post the photos on the internet for you to view, enjoy, and possibly purchase. All photographs contained on our website are proofs and are clearly noted with a watermark. These photos are owned by Pics Of You Photography and John Robinson and are protected by Copyright Laws and the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Taking of our proofs and using them on the internet, e-mailing them, or using them in print in any shape, form or fashion is strictly prohibited. This includes screen shots or pictures taken of the internet. All of our photos are registered with the copyright office and we are taking action against those that we know are in breach of copyright laws. Penalties for statutory damage range from $750 to $150,000 per photo illegally obtained and used.

This includes but is not limited to Facebook, MySpace, websites, DreamHorse and other equine site classifieds, flyers, etc. If you purchased images on a CD from us at the event, then you may post those photos on Facebook, MySpace, etc. On our proofing site, in addition to the watermark, the photos are right click protected. This means that when you right click on a photo is says: "All Copyrights are property of their respective owners. Below the proof it also states Copyright © 20xx Pics Of You Photography All Rights Reserved. Unauthorized reproduction prohibited by law. Circumventing the right click warning and ignoring the statement below each photo is acknowledgement that you are breaking the law."

We are not asking that you purchase photos, simply that you do not steal them!
